Let me start by saying this place has the best atmosphere. I love the way it was decorated. The chandeliers are gorgeous. This place is not pretentious at all. Wear your best western gear. Jeans and a Stetson work great here. Some days they have live music. This was my second visit to Junction 36. The first time I came I ordered the club sandwich and fries. They were delicious. The second time, I ordered hamburger steak with fries and corn. The only reason I gave 4 stars on the food is cause the outer part of my hamburger steak was hard. It came with the gravy on the side. I enjoyed it without the gravy and gave my gravy to my love to enjoy with his pork chop dinner. Would I come here again? Absolutely time and time and time again. It’s a great place to gather with friends, double dates, first dates, family gatherings, dinners solo and so much more.
Stopped by for breakfast on our way to the hill county. The atmosphere and decor is great. We were quickly greated and our drinks were brought quick. I ordered the Route 36 omelet with a biscuit my wife ordered the breakfast special, she got more food. Everything was well made to our standards except my wife’s eggs, she ordered med-well and got over easy, we could have asked for them to be replaced but she was ok with them. I would come back again if we were driving through again!

Such a nice place! Stopped by on our way through Gatesville, and I am so glad we did! The atmosphere is so relaxed and yet so cool with so many things to look at. The food was amazing, and I will definitely make my way back specifically for the absolutely amazing fresh cut fries, fried green beans, and bubba bites 😍 Definitely check it out if you're in the area!
Had the catfish, curly fries and green beans truly excellent. Way above average service. Very good live entertainment. The place both inside and outside was clean. I will be going back the next time I decide to eat out. Thank you
Very rustic and eclectic, the food was typical American fare, like fried mozzarella sticks, fries with cheese and bacon for appetizers. For the entree we got a foot long corn dog and chicken stuffed with jalapenos and wrapped in bacon. The food tasted really good. The memorabilia on the walls was incredible, lots of pictures of Elvis where we sat. If you want a break from a chain restaurant, this has character and entertainment for days!
Everytime I go visit my brother this is where we go. The food is amazing. Definitely get the appetizers. Any of them, they are all great. They have live music on the weekends. The staff is very nice. The place is clean and the bathrooms are clean. Good place for the whole family
Stumbled upon this place headed back home to Dallas from Florence, TX. Best waitress ever - Angelia! She was friendly, fun, and sold the heck outta the menu items convincing us that the fried oreos were a must and she was not wrong. I had the hamburger steak, and it was hands down the best brown gravy I have ever had. Will find a reason to come back soon!
Went there for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Loved the atmosphere and the food was phenomenal. I ordered the swiss mushroom stuffed burger and every bite I reacted to how amazing it was which is rare. It is one of my favorite types of burger and have eaten many restaurants in many states and this one is by far the best mushroom swiss burger I have ever had. I live about an hour away and will absolutely make the drive to have this again.
